  1. Explore beautiful Lake Waramaug , stopping for a relaxing view of the lake from the deck of the Hopkins Inn.  Ask a local how to climb the Pinnacles off June Road to get a wonderful view of the area.  Eat a fine meal at Oliva’s in New Preston.
  2. Drive through the covered Bulls Bridge north of the Gaylordsville section of New Milford on Route 7 and walk along the Housatonic River trail to its junction with the Ten Mile River.   
  3. Visit the shops of Kent and drive north along Route 7 stopping at Kent Falls State Park and enjoying the natural beauty of the Housatonic River before crossing the covered bridge to check out the elegant shaker reproductions of Ian Ingersoll in West Cornwall.
  4. Drive through lovely Washington Connecticut, stopping to see the elegant gardens of the five star Mayflower Inn. Stop for a drink at G.W Tavern before enjoying a few of myriad, antique shops of historic Woodbury Connecticut, the antique center of Southern New England.
  5. Check out the shops near the Litchfield Green before exploring the wonderful White Memorial Nature Conservancy and the nationally known White Flower Farm.
  6. Visit the Audubon Center of Sharon before exploring the traditional estates, lovely countryside and charming elegance of Lakeville and Salisbury, Connecticut.  Check out the Hotchkiss School .
  7. Spend a half-day hiking the Pine Knob Loop off Route 7 just North of it’s junction with Route 4.
  8. Drive North on Route 7 and enjoy a full day exploring the natural and cultural of wonders of the Berkshires in Massachusetts.
